Define the label data and application position together

A print-and-apply enquiry should show both the information to print and the surface receiving the label. Provide a sample label layout with its dimensions, code content and required orientation. Identify which fields stay fixed and which change by product, batch, case or individual pack.

Describe where the print data comes from and who approves it before production. Keep this information separate from the mechanical task of applying the label. The proposed solution should define how the correct printed label remains associated with the correct pack, including after a pause or rejected item.

Surface and motion
Supply the actual container or case material, application face and movement through the labelling point. Note any dust, moisture or irregular surface requiring assessment.
Verification
State the required print and placement checks, the approved reading method where relevant and how an incorrect or unreadable label is handled.

Is a label printer alone the same as a print-and-apply system?

Clarify whether the requirement includes printing, automatic application, data integration and verification. List each function explicitly in the enquiry and quotation scope.
